Gatwick to be carbon neutral by spring 2017

Gatwick says it’ll be carbon neutral by Spring this year.

It’ll be the first UK airport to do so and joins more than 80 companies around the world who are aiming to increase their demand for renewable energy.
80% of the airport’s carbon footprint comes from electricity which it has been getting from renewable sources since 2013 – the remaining 20% will be reduced by energy and fuel efficiency and continued investment in renewable sources.
