Jewellery stolen from home in Crawley after woman finds man in her garden

£7,000 worth of jewellery has been stolen from a house in Crawley.

The owner came back to her home in Chichester Close two weeks ago (21st November) to find a man sat in her garden who jumped over the fence when she approached him.

The victim then realised four bridal sets and her gold wedding ring were missing.

The man is described as mixed race, 5’ 7”, of large build and with dark hair. He was wearing a grey hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Police Constable Claire Selwyn of the Neighbourhood Prevention Team said: “These pieces of jewellery have a lot of sentimental value and we are keen to reunite them with their rightful owner.
