Fourth Arrest Made In Gatwick Charity Globes Theft Investigation

A fourth man was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of theft at Gatwick Airport.

Officers have been investigating incidents at the airport where thieves removed transparent globes containing charitable donations.  At the beginning of January, three men took a globe from the South Terminal but a second incident two weeks ago involving four men was thwarted by a member of airport staff intervening.

Two men from Crawley and one of no fixed address have already been arrested and are currently released under further investigation.  A fifth suspect is still outstanding and enquiries continue.
