Contract extended for Free Health & Wellbeing Service in East Surrey

A free health and wellbeing service for residents in East Surrey has had its contract extended for a further three years.

The Wellbeing Prescription service has a team of 14 Wellbeing advisors who see over 4,000 people a year.

Based in GP surgeries, they assist residents by identifying their health and wellbeing issues, such as weight management, fitness, smoking, anxiety and depression.  They provide advice and signpost them to local services and activities.

The service, jointly run by Tandridge District Council, Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, Surrey County Council and East Surrey Clinical Commissioning Group, also offers additional assistance to high dependency patients in their homes.

A Wellbeing Day highlighting the services on offer in the East Surrey area will be held in Redhill later this year.
