A serious collision took place on Saturday afternoon between a mobility scooter and a car in Crawley.  

The collision happened just after 1.00 pm on Southgate Avenue. The rider of the scooter was an 80 year old local man, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.  The driver of the car was unhurt.
