A dispersal order was put in place over the weekend in Horsham following an increase in antisocial behaviour in the town. 

The section 34 order covered Horsham town centre and was in place between 5 pm on Friday and 5 pm yesterday.  Under the order, police officers can tell individuals or groups, who are causing significant and persistent anti-social behaviour, to leave the area and not return for up to 24 hours. Alcohol can also be confiscated. 

Sussex Police patrolled the area regularly to enforce the dispersal order and to provide reassurance to the local community.
