Over 3,500 Crawley self-employed benefit from government handouts

More than three and a half thousand self-employed people in Crawley have benefitted from more than £9 million in grants from the UK Government.

The money is to help cover lost earning during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Crawley MP Henry Smith said the figures demonstrate the scale of Government support for the self-employed during a hugely challenging time
He said:
“Never has this Government’s agenda to level up the whole county been so important – giving our entrepreneurs the confidence they need as they look ahead to the future.”
