A rapid community Covid testing initiative starts today in Surrey. 

Tests are available for all eligible adults in Surrey who are not showing any symptoms.  The targeted approach is designed for people unable to work from home.  It will help to break the chain in transmission from those who have no symptoms and could be spreading the disease without knowing it.  It’s aimed at protecting people most at risk, such as supermarket workers and bus drivers.  NHS Test and Trace provide the rapid turnaround lateral flow tests, with results sent by text or email within 24 hours. People will need to isolate if they receive a positive result.  

Appointments are available at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill as well as various pharmacies in Reigate, Merstham, Banstead and Caterham.  Tests must be booked via the online booking system at  scc.covid19testing.org.uk/
