The management of services such as highway verge cutting, weed control and on-street parking enforcement, will be taken back in-house by Surrey County Council. 

Currently eight district and borough councils manage the verges on its behalf, and all on-street parking enforcement is managed by the district and boroughs.

From April next year, Surrey County Council will manage both of these county-wide to ensure consistent approaches across Surrey.
