The NHS Trust which runs East Surrey Hospital has made financial savings and reduced its carbon footprint through paper reduction.

By moving to recycled paper, Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is saving £10,000 per year and reducing 38,000 kg in CO2 emissions.

Following a trial period, the Trust moved all internal printing to unbleached paper.  The hospital also plans to transition patient communications over to the new paper as soon as possible.
