A successful food rescue scheme in West Sussex is set to continue.  Following additional funding from the county council, the project will continue for another 12 months until April 2025.

The Community Food Hubs are run in partnership with Sussex-based food rescue charity, UK Harvest. For a small voluntary donation, residents can pick up a selection of surplus foods which would otherwise end up as waste.

Over the last 10 months the Food Hubs in West Sussex have prevented over 37 tonnes of food going to waste and provided food to over 11,000 people.

The hubs take place once a month in each of the seven boroughs across West Sussex including at the Broadfield Community Centre in Crawley.
