Incidents have been reported on several residential roads around Horsham, with thieves stealing whatever property comes to hand.

Sergeant Adam Ferries, of the Horsham neighbourhood policing team, said: “We have had some success with our investigations, but we would still ask motorists to reduce the the risk of becoming victims by removing, or at least concealing, any valuables; ensuring doors and windows are secure, and parking in brightly-lit areas.”

He added: “We’re also encouraging anyone who sees or hears anything suspicious, or who is unfortunate enough to become a victim of theft themselves, to report it to police immediately using 999. Other information that may be of help can be sent online or by phoning 101.”

Plans For 270 Extra School Places In Tandridge Are Approved

Surrey County Council’s Cabinet has approved plans for 270 more school places in Tandridge.

Plans to expand St Mary’s Junior School in Oxted and De Stafford Secondary School in Caterham were approved at a meeting last Tuesday.  An extra 150 places are planned for De Stafford School; admissions will increase by one form of entry starting from this school year.  St Mary’s in Oxted will increase from three forms of entry to four forms of entry, creating an extra 120 places.
