Football Update

Crawley Town slip to 13th place in League 2 after their 1-0 defeat away to Grimsby Town on Saturday.  The Reds now turn their attention to tomorrow night’s FA Cup replay against Southend United.

In the Bostik Premier Division, Merstham lost 3-0 away to Burgess Hill Town.

Horsham are in 7th place in the Bostik South East Division, winning 4-0 at home to VCD Athletic.  Three Bridges won 1-0 away to Sittingbourne. East Grinstead lost 3-2 away to Ramsgate.

South Park remain bottom of the table in the Bostik South Central Division losing 1-0 at home to Bedfont Sports.

Redhill won 2-0 at Kiln Brow against Colliers Wood United.  The Lobsters are now in third place in the Combined Counties Premier Division.  Horley Town gained a point in a goalless draw away to Camberley Town.

East Grinstead RFC take the ‘Kids First’ rugby pledge

 

East Grinstead Rugby Football Club has officially taken the England Rugby’s ‘Kids First’ Pledge.

President of the East Grinstead RFC, Andy Poole, is pleased to confirm the Club’s commitment to ‘putting young players in the heart of everything we do’.

The Quilter Kids First Rugby Pledge:

Reigate shows enthusiasm for Surrey FA Female Flexible League

Surrey FA have launched their first ever female flexible league, where 7-a-side matches are played every second Sunday of the month.

Reigate has had a lot of enthusiasm from its residents and has been able to enter three teams.

After the opening round of games, Reigate Women FC’s Lionesses are in second place in the table, having beaten sister team Tigresses by 2 goals to nil.

The Panthers are yet to play.

Football Update

Crawley Town will face League One Southend in a replay at the Broadfield Stadium after a late own goal by John White kept Gabriele Cioffi’s side in the first round of the FA Cup on Saturday.  The replay will take place on 20th November.

Merstham are out of the FA Trophy after losing 2-0 away to Salisbury.  It’s good news for Horsham who secure a place in the next round after beating higher division side, Potters Bar.

Three Bridges are through to the third round of the Sussex Senior Challenge Cup after beating Shoreham 1-0 away on Friday.

In local league matches, South Park are bottom of the table in the Bostik South Central Division, losing 3-0 away to FC Romania on Saturday.  East Grinstead Town lost their Bostik South East match 2-1 at home to Ashford United.

In the Combined Counties Premier Division Horley Town lost 2-1 at home to Abbey Rangers.  Redhill’s away match with Badshot Lea was postponed due to too much surface water on the pitch.
