A Village At War

“A Village at War” offers a window onto a small area of rural

The series takes a look at the village of Newdigate as an example of how the war affected a rural Surrey village in the area during this time.

Broadcast in eight parts, the first can be heard on
Saturday, 1st November at 8pm on 103.4FM and online.

The series will also be made available to “Listen Again”.

Interview: Mark Seacombe/Team Tutu

Hawth copyTeam Tutu are 8 cyclists from Lingfield, who will leave Amsterdam at 7am on 26 June and arrive home 320 miles later on Sunday 29 June at approximately 4pm. None is a ‘professional’ cyclist; they will be riding without a support car; they will carry everything they need, themselves; and every expense is met from their own pockets. 100% of donations will support Lingfield based charity Bloomin’ Arts, providing adults with learning disabilities with involvement in the performing arts. Their current goal is writing, directing and performing a show at the Hawth on Saturday 5 July.

Susy Radio at Horley Carnival

Horley held its summer carnival on Saturday and the town was blessed with unexpected good sunny weather despite warnings of thunderstorms and lightning.

Susy Radio took part in this years carnival procession.

Mike King (looking very much like Elvis), Jane Richards, Natalie Osborne, Pete Symonds and Dave and Hiulam King gave out plenty of car stickers and balloons to the many people lining the route.
