The 122nd annual London to Brighton Veteran Car Run took place yesterday.  Susy Radio broadcast the morning’s programmes from the half way point in Crawley High Street.  Many participants, drivers and passengers wore false moustaches in support of the Movember Foundation, the official charity partner for the event to raise awareness of men’s health.  The Susy Radio team spoke to many of the drivers as they passed through Crawley.  Steve Lee asked TV presenter Alan Titchmarsh how his journey was going.

The Mayor of Crawley, Councillor Carlos Castro attended the event for the first time in his official position as Mayor of Crawley and has been a regular spectator as a resident of the town.  He spoke to Neil Munday about the event’s family appeal.

The first car to cross the finish line in Brighton at 10:23 am yesterday was a 1902 Oldsmobile.
