Communities throughout East Surrey and North Sussex have celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Street parties and special events have taken place; the four day celebration began on Thursday evening with the lighting of thousands of beacons across the country. Beacons were lit in Crawley, Horsham, East Grinstead, Tandridge, and Lingfield.
The Susy Radio outside broadcast team was in Priory Park in Reigate for the lighting of its beacon.
The newly elected Mayor of Reigate and Banstead, Councillor Frank Kelly took to the stage in front of the waiting crowds:
Many acts performed at Priory Park including the Reigate and Redhill Choral Society who sang the National Anthem.
