Police are appealing for information after a 12 year-old girl was sexually assaulted near Dorking train station.

The incident occurred last Tuesday afternoon around 4 o’clock near the Pixholme Grove Allotments.

The assailant is described as white, believed to be 15 or 16-years-old, medium build, with very short black hair and brown eyes, freckles on his face, and no facial hair. He’s thought to be approximately 5 ft. 7 tall and speaks with a London accent.

Joint Fire Emergency Mobilising System For Surrey and West Sussex

Surrey and West Sussex fire and rescue services are to move to a joint 999 mobilising system.

The decision was made on Friday by West Sussex County Council’s Cabinet member for Safer, Stronger Communities.  West Sussex made a full assessment of the options available for mobilising systems with other fire and rescue services. The Surrey service was chosen due to its proven track record for reliability and capacity and for demonstrating good value for money.

Command and mobilising systems are used to dispatch fire and rescue service resources to emergency incidents. The aim is to migrate to the new joint system by February 2020.
