Football Update

Crawley Town gained a point in their 1-1 draw at home to Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.  The Reds are in 16th place in League 2. 

In the Isthmian Premier Division, Horsham are in 3rd place after losing 2-1 away to Hornchurch FC.  Merstham are one place above the relegation zone following their 3-2 defeat at home to Potters Bar Town. The Moatsiders were down to 10 men after Omar Folkes was sent off in the first half.  

East Grinstead Town remain bottom of the South East Division table losing 2-1 in their home match against Sittingbourne.  Three Bridges lost 3-1 at home to Haywards Heath Town.

South Park lost their South Central Division match 2-0 at home to Westfield.

Football Update

John Yems took charge of his first home match for Crawley Town on Saturday.  The Reds gained a point in a goalless draw against Port Vale taking them to 16th place in League 2.  

Horsham were back to winning ways moving up to second place in the Isthmian Premier Division, winning 1-0 at home to East Thurrock United.  Merstham lost 4-2 at home to Lewes and remain second from bottom of the table.

In the South Central Division, South Park drew 1-1 away to Harlow Town.  

Horley Town won their Southern Combination Premier Division match 2-0 at home to Hassocks.

Football Update

Crawley Town gained a point in their first match under new Head Coach, John Yems, on Saturday.  It was a goalless draw for the Reds in their away match against Stevenage.  

Horsham slip to third place in the Isthmian Premier Division following a 2-1 loss against Folkestone Invicta who are now top of the table.  Merstham are second from bottom of the table losing 4-0 away to Kingstonian.

In the South Central division, South Park won 4-2 at home to Bracknell Town.

East Grinstead lost their South East Division match 3-1 away to Cray Valley.  There were no points in Three Bridges’ home match against Burgess Hill Town following their goalless draw.

In the Combined Counties Premier Division, Redhill won 4-1 away to Badshot Lea.

CRAWLEY TOWN ANNOUNCE NEW HEAD COACH

Crawley Town have announced John Yems as the new head coach. 

This will be Yems second time in charge of the Reds after guiding them to Conference safety in 2008. The former Exeter assistant, has appointed Dannie Bulman to his management team although the 40-year-old midfielder will continue to be part of the playing squad.

John will be on a contract initially until the end of this season.

DEPARTURE OF CRAWLEY TOWNS HEAD COACH GABRIELE CIOFFI

Crawley Town have announced the departure of head coach Gabriele Cioffi. 

Cioffi had been in charge of the club since September last year when he took over from Harry Kewell. The Italians departure follows on from a run of just one win in eleven league games.

 Assistant Edu Rubio will fill-in for the meantime as head coach of the Reds, who are currently 17th in the table.
