In football:

Bez Lubala’s eighth goal of the season was in vain as Crawley Town conceded twice in the last seven minutes on Saturday.  The Reds lost their League 2 match 2-1 away to Cambridge United.

Horsham made their second trip to Haringey in just seven days.  After crashing out to Haringey in last week’s FA Trophy tie, the Hornets won 2-1 in their Isthmian League Premier Division match and remain in second place in the table.

In the South East Division, Three Bridges lost 1-0 away to Cray Valley, and East Grinstead Town lost 3-1 away to Herne Bay.

Redhill are out of the FA Vase after losing 3-1 away to Binfield in their second round tie.

Merstham and South Park’s matches were both postponed.

In Football, Merstham football club lose in there home match against Kingstonian on Tuesday.

The local team lost one nil in the friendly match making this their sixth loss in a row.

Merstham play their next match against Bowers and Pitsea this Saturday.

Crawley Town drop to 17th place in League 2 after their 4-0 defeat at home to Swindon Town on Saturday.  The Reds have a lot of work to do when Colchester arrive tomorrow, with a place in the quarter final of the Carabao Cup at stake.

South Park won their group 10 Velocity Trophy match 4-3 on penalties against Chertsey Town following their 2-2 draw at full time.

After the first of two visits to Coles Park in two weeks, Horsham are out of the FA Trophy after losing their First Qualifying Round match 3-0 away to Haringey Borough.  Horsham meet Haringey again at the weekend in an Isthmian League fixture.

Crawley Town drop to 13th place in League 2 following their 2-1 loss away to Bradford City on Saturday.

Horsham are in second place in the Isthmian League Premier Division after winning 4-0 at home to Merstham.  Merstham are in 17th place.

In the South Central Division, Reigate side, South Park won 4-0 at home to Northwood.  East Grinstead Town lost 3-0 at home to Whitstable and are now bottom of the South East Division table.  Three Bridges lost 4-0 at home to Phoenix Sports.

Redhill beat Camberley Town 2-1 at Kiln Brow.  Horley Town lost 3-2 away to Little Common.

Crawley Town FC will visit East Preston in the second round of the Sussex Senior Cup.

The tie will be played at the Roundstone Recreation Ground on the 4th November.

The hosts are currently 18th in the Southern Combination Football League.
