Football Update

Crawley Town hosted Cheltenham Town on Saturday.  The Reds have made a good start to the year as Joe Franklin reports:

In the Bostik Premier Division, Merstham gained three points winning 3-0 at home to Wingate and Finchley.

Crawley Wasps Ladies Football Club are through to the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup after beating Coventry United 2-1 away yesterday.  

New Year’s Day Football Update

In League 2, Luke Gambin scored both of Crawley Town’s goals yesterday;  the Reds won 2-0 at home to Colchester United.

In the Bostik Premier Division it was a goalless draw for Merstham in their away match with Kingstonian.

Horsham drew 1-1 in their Bostik South East Division match at home to Guernsey.

Football Update

Crawley Town slipped to their sixth defeat in the last seven League 2 games losing 3-2 at home to Carlisle United on Saturday.  

In the Bostik Premier Division, Merstham won 4-1 at home to 4th placed Dorking Wanderers.  Merstham are now in 9th place.

Horsham lost 2-0 away to Haywards Heath in the Bostik South East Division.  Three Bridges won 3-0 away to Guernsey and East Grinstead Town lost 3-1 away to Whyteleafe.  In the Bostik South Central Division, South Park gained a much needed 3 points winning 3-1 at home to Molesey.

In the Combined Counties Premier Division Horley won 2-1 away to Badshot Lea.  Redhill’s match away to Raynes Park Vale was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Football Update

In League 2, Crawley Town lost 2-0 away to bottom of the table Macclesfield on Saturday.  Play was suspended for 15 minutes when three of the floodlights went out at half time.

Merstham gained three points in their Bostik Premier Division match, winning 1-0 away to Potters Bar.

Despite a 1-1 draw away to Westfield, Reigate team, South Park remain bottom of the Bostik South Central table.

Horsham are in third place in the Bostik South East Division winning 4-2 against Cray Wanderers who were, up to now, unbeaten all season.  It was a good win for East Grinstead, winning 5-2 away to Herne Bay. Three Bridges drew 2-2 away to Greenwich Borough.

Redhill remain in third place in the Combined Counties Premier Division, after a 2-2 draw against AFC Hayes at Kiln Brow.  Horley Town lost 5-2 away to Sutton Common Rovers.
