Father Andrew Cunnington, the vicar of St. Matthews church in Redhill spoke to Tess lewsey about the church’s 150th anniversary, the demands of a secular society at Christmas and helping the homeless this festive season.

Our presenter Annie Whitmore spoke to Surrey-based driver Murray Jones about why these cars are so unique and how he and 11 other drivers will be representing The British Stock Car Drivers Association by demonstrating the F1s in the Live Action Arena as part of the Autosport Show next year.

Last week, heroes within the community of Sussex and Surrey were recognised at an awards ceremony.

Finalists from all nine categories including “999”, “Animal Welfare””, “Young Achiever” and “Sport”, attended the BBC Sussex and BBC Surrey Community Heroes Awards at the “Crowne Plaza Hotel” in Gatwick.

Chauffeur and personal assistant to the Mayor of Reigate and Banstead, David Duke, was named winner of the Good Neighbour category after he and his wife, Sandra, were involved in a sea rescue off Brighton Marina, helping to save a life. He was handed his award by entertainer, Lionel Blair.

Susy Radio’s Natalie Osborne attended the event and caught up with Lionel, David and Sandra at the conclusion of the ceremony:

Brand new prime-time TV series – nationwide search for ex-couples to take part

Twofour Broadcast is producing a new TV series and casting nationwide to find ex-couples to reunite and talk about their relationship and where it went wrong – the aim is to apologise, get closure or maybe even re-kindle that lost romance.
