‘SHE’ in session with Steve Jesson

‘SHE’ are are four piece Indie Rock band formed in South East London in 2019.

Taking inspiration from acts such as Wolf Alice, Frightened Rabbit, Yeah Yeah Yeahs with a healthy dose of Pop Punk bands like Sum 41, Paramore and The Offspring.

‘SHE’ visited the Susy studios to chat and perform a live classic cover and gave the chance to hear their new single Switch, ahead of their upcoming gig in Dalston on Saturday 29th February.

Ella Sowton – YMCA East Surrey ‘Young Worker of the Year’

Ella Sowton, from YMCA East Surrey, won the National YMCA award for ‘Young Worker of the Year’ towards the end of 2019, and was David Jay’s guest recently.

Ella manages the WAVES project at the local ‘Y’, and spoke with David about her award.

Work Begins On Redhill’s Marketfield Way Development

Below:  Marketfield Road Car Park has been permanently closed

Work has started on Redhill’s Marketfield Way development.  Marketfield Road car park is now permanently closed and has been fenced off to install site facilities.  Demolition of the vacant properties in the high street, and site preparations will take around three months to complete. 

Once complete, the development will house a multi-screen cinema, improved shopping and leisure facilities and new homes. Construction is expected to be completed in Summer 2022.
